Do you love the RHS Chelsea Flower Show? Have you seen that Sarah Eberle’s Psalm 23 Garden scooped a gold medal for the Bible Society in the Sanctuary Garden section?
Sarah uses huge rocks, drystone walling and a waterfall, suffused with softer planting, to embody Psalm 23. Her garden design depicts green pastures, quiet waters and a journey through life in the eternal presence of God.
Over the past year and a half being outdoors has been a godsend for our mental wellbeing. We relished our walks and daily exercise when we were in the throws of lockdown and many have continued to treasure the outdoors.
We understand afresh the need to safeguard natural spaces that promote biodiversity and allow bees to pollinate a vibrant mixture of flowers and plants. The pandemic has taught us humans again that we too thrive when we are interconnected.
I hope we keep developing connections with those with whom we live. As things open up I am excited that our churches across the benefice will be one of many great organizations, working together for the flourishing of our local ecosystems!
Wishing us all a restful and green weekend,
