A traditional service, with a creative twist, of Holy Communion, washing of feet and Stripping the Altar. Includes hymns, prayers & reflection using light and darkness – we leave the church in silence (approx. 1 hour)
Friday 3rd April – Good Friday
10.15am March of Witness from Springhill Court, Tadcaster
The traditional march through the town behind the cross, ending with a short service at the bottom of Kirkgate, followed by hot cross buns in the Sunday School
2pm An Hour at the Cross Tadcaster & Church Fenton
An hour of reflection on the last moments of Jesus’ life
Saturday 4th April – Easter Eve
8pm Benefice Easter Vigil Kirkby Wharfe
A quiet service when we remind ourselves of our Baptismal promises. Taize style music (approx. 30-40 mins)
In addition, throughout the week there is a chance to experience a an audio trail through the Stations of the Cross, using sight, sound and touch to explore the Easter story. at Tadcaster Methodist Church Mon 30th March 10am-12pm, 2pm-4pm Tue 31st March 6pm-8.30pm Wed 1st April 10am-12pm Thu 2nd April 6pm-8.30pm
