Sadly, this year’s event will not be able to take place due to the coronavirus pandemic and the Government’s guidelines on social gatherings.
We at Tadcaster Benefice are pleased to provide a creative and different way for our community to observe Remembrance Sunday. Please join us on our benefice zoom service, starting at 10.30am on Sunday 8th November. (Please see the invitation below) We are hoping this will be a way for our community to come together, albeit virtually.
If you belong to a uniformed group, why not join us in your brownie or scout uniform? If you are part of the military, past or present, wear your medals with pride. If you would like to pay your respects and observe 2 minutes silence, join us with the family.
Don't worry about noise at home - all zoom participants are muted, except for those involved in different parts of the service! Don't worry if you are unsure of what a Remembrance service looks like - the words will be on the screen for you to follow.
If zoom is not a possibility for you, but you would still like to be involved, let us know and we will post you out a prayer card. In this way you can join in with the prayer after the 2 minutes silence.
Let's remember together, 2020 style,
Blessings,
Rev Lucy and all at Tadcaster Benefice
