The Church will be open on Saturday 5th November between 10am and 12 noon for visitors to come and see the floral displays and enjoy the cake stall, bric a brac stall and the Hidden Treasure Valuation. We have our very own valuer in the village and Tom Scott is very happy for people to bring ‘the particular item you have always wondered about’ along for him to cast his professional eye over.
We are asking children to design a pumpkin based ont he theme of 'All things bright and beautiful'. Bring them along - and then the winner will be announced during the service on Sunday morning.
As part of the weekend, we are going to have a bonfire in David Benson’s field at 6pm on 5th November. The bonfire will be built in the field in between Tythe Barn and St Helen’s Grange, and with access from the gate on Croft lane we are hoping as many people as possible will come and support the event, reassured by the fact there will no fireworks to terrify small children or our four legged friends.
Come along for bonfire fun, hot dogs, cakes and buns and of course the wine and beer in the refreshments tent!
Then on Sunday we will have the All Things Bright and Beautiful Family service at 10am in St Andrew’s Church, where we shall announce the winner of the Pumpkin competition…..
All are invited to come for any or all of the activities over the weekend, with all proceeds going to the church funds.
