During the Week
Church isn't just something for Sundays. There are a number of different groups and activities you can be part of during the week, for friendship, for support in your faith or to join with other people in serving God and working to help those around us.
All of the groups listed here will warmly welcome new members and those just wanting to come along for a week or two to try them out.
Morning Prayer
On Mondays at 9.30am in St Mary's, Tadcaster, we hold a short (25-30 minute) said service, with readings and a time for prayer.
On Wednesdays at 10.30am in St Mary's, Church Fenton, we hold a simple said service, with refreshments and a chance to meet others and chat
Come and join us as we pray for our communities, our churches and the wider world.
The Craft Circle
Thursday at 1.30pm at the Boys Sunday School, once a fortnight.
This group meets to make all sorts of craft items together, from greetings cards to shopping bags to pots of bulbs. These are then sold in Hidden Treasures, at the Christmas Bazaar and elsewhere to raise money to support the work of the church. If you enjoy any sort of craft, this is a great place to meet new friends, as you work.
For more information and to find out the date of the next meeting, contact Janet Galloway on 01937 836155

Saturday mornings, 10am-11.30am in the Boys Sunday School.
Somewhere for friendship and a cuppa while you're doing a few jobs in town on a Saturday morning. Have a hot drink and a cake or scone for a very reasonable price. There is often a cake stall and some weeks also books or fair trade items for sale.
